Is it possible to lose weight in the spot around my center?
This is a frequently asked question from clients. For many, the tummy pouch is the area of the body they are most self-conscious of. You are often asked if there are specific movements or types of exercise that can help you lose weight around the mid section.
The simple answer is no.
However, while there are no magical moves you can perform to lose weight in a particular area, there are some things you can focus on that can help you lose belly fat over time.
I generally recommend focusing on weight loss — I know that overall weight loss also leads to central weight loss.
It’s important to note that it’s impossible to talk about weight loss without working on a diet. Stocking what you’re eating and replacing foods that provide empty calories like processed carbs and sugar with whole foods will reduce swelling and drop extra pounds for many of my clients. Was useful.
After you clean your diet, direct your attention to your training routine. Efforts need to be focused here when it comes to exercises that help reduce overall body fat and tone the center.
Cardio
Infinite crunches aren’t very effective if your abdominal muscles are buried under excess body fat. Aerobic exercise is the key to burning calories and losing weight. Cycling and walking are two less influential aerobic exercises that I often recommend to clients. Walking is one of the most underrated exercises when it comes to burning calories and losing weight. In fact, many people in our Start TODAY Facebook group trust their daily walks, helping them lose weight and stay a few centimeters away from the center! Riding a bike or using a cycling machine is another great calorie-burning exercise. When cycling, use your core and lower body while increasing your heart rate. If you have a spin bike available, try interval training by switching between tilt and speed. If you want to ride your bike outside, look for a hillside path and play at different speeds.
strength training
Studies show that a combination of strength training and aerobic exercise can help you lose weight. Strength training helps build muscle that burns fat and speeds up metabolism. In addition, muscle burns more calories than fat, so building muscle will help you burn more at rest and help you lose weight. And many strength training exercises work on the core to help strengthen the abdomen and increase muscle tone in the center. Try one of these strength routines for exercises that build muscle and make the core work.
Ab workout
Finally, target your core by incorporating exercises that tone and strengthen your abdominal muscles. Remember: The abdominal muscles are the only muscle group you can train every day!
As a Pilates instructor, I recommend starting all abdominal muscle routines with a pelvic tilt. This exercise will help you coordinate with the core. By pulling the Navy into the spine and pulling in the deepest abdominal muscles, it trains the body to move the core not only in abdominal muscle movements, but also in other exercises. In addition, by tightening the core and pulling in the deep muscles of the abdomen, you can flatten and tone the center.
It is also advisable to choose abdominal muscle training like a mountaineer who moves the whole body, not just the abdomen. With whole body movements, you burn more calories, which helps you lose weight and builds strength in all areas of your body.
