It doesn’t require expensive equipment, so you can do it anytime, anywhere (although I wouldn’t recommend breaking a set of groot bridges in the middle of a meeting). This session is the brainchild of NASM Certified Personal Trainers and Sweat. (opens in new tab) App Barre Instructor Britany Williams (opens in new tab), specializing in creating low-impact, high-intensity home workouts. She says she’s perfect for someone who doesn’t want to exercise but knows she feels better after hitting her moves quickly.
It includes just 6 movement circuits, including exercises that work your legs, chest, shoulders, back, core, and more. Repeat each exercise a predetermined number of times (listed in Williams’ video below) before moving on to the next exercise. Complete your workout by completing a total of 2 or 3 rounds, depending on how you feel after the first circuit. This will take him less than 15 minutes.

This session is an example of high intensity resistance training. (opens in new tab) or HIRT.Like the similarly named High Intensity Interval Training (also known as a HIIT workout) (opens in new tab)) This form of exercise provides a short rest period after strenuous exercise to raise your heart rate and increase the amount of energy your body uses.
HIRT incorporates strength-building exercises that apply resistance to the muscles, so the two regimes are slightly different. This can be achieved by using a weighted kit like the best kettlebells or by using more challenging bodyweight exercises like lunges and push-ups.
As mentioned above, the beauty of this session is that it requires minimal time and equipment. So you can try it at home, on the go, in your hotel room, or even outside (weather permitting). Use it as a daily fitness fix or incorporate it into your regular workout plan. (opens in new tab).
