A teenager who once leaned on a scale with 96 stones is now unrecognizable after life-changing weight loss.
Khaled Mohsen Al Shaeri, who was approaching 100 stones at the age of 17, had dropped a huge 86 stones according to a strict diet and exercise plan.
Khaled, now 29, shared a video of himself walking around with the help of a Zimmer frame three years after the fire brigade had to lift him out of his window and take him to the hospital.
King Abdullah, the ruler of Saudi Arabia, where Caled was born, was impressed by the fight against his weight and decided to rescue him from his apartment.
A squad of 30 medics and a civil defense unit was able to lift him out of the room using a crane purchased in the United States.
The young man lay in his bed for three years when the team demolished part of the wall to lift him.

He was taken by a medical helicopter to Kingfahad Medical City in the capital of Riyadh for treatment after anomalous removal.
The King wanted to take Khalid to the hospital early, but rescue operations were delayed because he had to wait for a specially built bed from the United States.
Khaled lived on the second floor of a building in the southern city of Saudi Arabia, Jarzan, but hadn’t left his bedroom for two and a half years.

Following the Royal Command, the Saudi Ministry of Health organized evacuation in cooperation with civil defense and the Saudi Red Cross.
Part of the Khaled building had to be demolished.
He then used a forklift to take him to an ambulance and plane and fly him to Kingfahad Medical City in Riyadh, the capital, for treatment.
Dr. Abdullah al-Ravia, Minister of Health of Saudi Arabia, said King Abdullah ordered rescue as a “humanitarian gesture.”
