A woman who was overweight for her size to online trolls reveals an incredible year of body transformation.
Aida Azizi, 26, from Chiswick, London, went from 4 pounds (135 kg) to 12th place in a year, dropping from 4 pounds (135 kg) to 6 pounds (79 kg) in 12th place thanks to a diet and lifestyle overhaul. size has been dropped from 22 to 10.
The project manager has struggled with health problems since being diagnosed with polycystic ovaries at the age of 16. One of the main symptoms is weight gain.
“I always wore black to hide my figure,” she says.
“People on social media were scary and ruthless,” she continues.
“When I posted a picture on Instagram, I was told I was fat, so I hid my figure, but it was big enough to be seen by my face.”

The tipping point came when Azizi was getting ready to go out and meet friends when she realized none of her clothes fit her.
“I got sick, didn’t leave the house, canceled plans,” she says of the moment. “That’s when I knew things needed to change,” she said.
“For the first few months, with my doctor’s approval, I restricted myself to 500 calories a day. Then I increased to 800 calories a day, which is my current intake,” she explains.
“I used to eat about 3,000 calories a day, about four meals, and snacks like potato chips and chocolate.
“I used to eat out a lot, and I used to eat takeout and fast food a lot.

“I eat an egg and half a piece of toast for breakfast, chicken and vegetables for lunch, and something small like couscous and lamb or vegetables for dinner.
“It took some getting used to because it hit my body, but it was worth it.”

According to Azizi, the doctor also prescribed medication to help regulate hormones.
“Having polycystic ovaries means that your hormones are out of balance, which can lead to weight gain and constant cravings.
She says the medication contributed to her weight loss, which she believes was primarily due to a calorie-deficient diet and weight training.
“I started working out watching videos on YouTube and TikTok and started from there,” she says.

Not only did she look better after the drastic change, but Azizi says she feels healthier and happier.
“I also started dressing differently,” she says. “I dyed my hair, put on extensions, trimmed my nails, put on some make-up, and became a new me.”
The changes in her body have had knock-on effects on her health as well.
“My confidence has changed a lot,” she explains. “I suffered from depression and was too embarrassed to go out and didn’t even have a mirror.

As well as Ajiji’s physical changes, friends and family have commented on the differences in her personality.
“My mom is so happy. She can see the difference in me and how much my confidence has improved,” she says.
“My friends and family are so proud of me.”
She also feels that she has learned to deal with negativity online.
“Now I don’t comment on my weight. People comment on my lip and nose job, but now that I have the confidence to ignore it, I no longer feel what people say about me.” I don’t mind,” she adds.
