Usually in tomato sauce, this long-lived food staple is placed on toast, poured over jacket potatoes, topped with grated cheese, or used as part of a full English breakfast.
It’s really an English classic.
But there’s more to it than looking at unpretentious beans.

Alex Glover, Senior Dietitian at Holland & Barrett, explains that healthy foods certainly don’t have to be expensive, and baked beans can contribute to a nutritious diet at bargain prices.

1. Full of fiber
