The idea of trying out new recipes may seem overwhelming rather than fun, as many food blogs and professional-style culinary photos are readily available. However, trying new healthy recipes every week is fun, exciting and worth the effort. Health doesn’t have to be boring, and learning new cooking skills can help your enjoyment at dinner (and lunch and breakfast).

Try new new recipes to get more attention to what you eat. When you cook yourself, you know better what’s in each dish, and ultimately what’s in your body. Growing research has also explored the relationship between cooking and self-confidence, self-esteem, creativity, and social connections.
Start simple
Keep your trustworthy and dependable, but add some excitement to the kitchen. To make the process easier, spend a week or two recording what you are currently eating. If you want to incorporate certain ingredients, use the internet (try searching for “health recipes using (insert ingredients or food)”). Want to incorporate diversity by eliminating certain ingredients and foods? Ask your friends to share their favorite healthy meals that don’t include them.
