Dr. Michael Mosley recently appeared on ITV’s This Morning to discuss how dieters can easily lose weight.
He started by talking about liquid diets: “There’s a lot of really good stuff out there,” said Michael Mosley, recommending a shake and soup diet.
He explained: “It’s about 800-900 calories, more calories, more protein, all the right ingredients in it, and it seems to be very effective.”
But he argued that “it doesn’t have to be just a liquid diet” because of the rapid weight loss.
“A few years ago, with the blessing of Professor Roy Taylor, we created a rapid weight loss diet called Fast800,” Dr. Mosley explained.

“It’s based on real food, but you can also use a meal replacement shake. We got similar results, 50,000 people did it, the only one we know. Side effects are constipation and headaches.
“That’s right. If you’re on a rapid weight loss diet, you’ll need to drink plenty of water, or you can have constipation.
“You need to burn 800-1,000 calories a day. What you’re consuming contains a significant amount of protein and nutrients.”
Michael Mosley said that a dieter needs to consume a significant amount of protein for a successful diet.
Do not miss it
He explained the reason as follows.
“The data suggests whether to combine it. [diet] With exercise, which is a great way [to lose weight]..
“And one of the things you want to do. This is the importance of protein that protects your muscles. You need at least 50g of high quality protein a day.
“What you want to do when you lose weight is not to lose fat and lose muscle. It was the danger of continuing a really low calorie, low protein diet (tea, juice). Needs protein.
“And if it doesn’t get it from your diet, it’s getting it from your muscles.
“So you need decent protein and exercise, which really means doing push-ups and squats,” the doctor said.
Healthline states that protein “keeps you full longer, reduces cravings, increases calorie burning, changes weight hormones and increases appetite-reducing hormones.”
Health sites have shared protein-rich foods that are perfect for including in your diet to lose weight.
