Sonny Jay, presenter and DJ of the Capital Radio breakfast show, gained 1 kg of muscle mass in just 12 weeks, completely reduced BMI, and lost 2.4 kg of pure body fat. He used the MunchFit Lean plan to achieve an amazing transformation. The DJ shrank his hips nearly 5 inches and raised his chest 2 inches.
After winning the Dancing on Ice 2021, 28-year-old Sonny lost weight and then promoted weight loss using a bespoke diet plan for lean diets.
At the end of the series and the end of a tough training week, he realized that it made a considerable sacrifice to his body.
Sonny said: He was taking supplements and was exercising a lot, so I thought he needed to rest. “
But without a solid fitness plan and bad habits like tasty sausage sandwiches from the staff’s cafeteria, he quickly realized a change he didn’t like.

He states: “I wanted to return to my feelings after showing that I was happy with my body. I want to feel good, athletic and healthy.”
Earlier this year, Sony Jay embarked on a 12-week program to sustainably overhaul his nutrition and fitness regime. He used MunchFit’s bespoke diet plan and training with trainer Alexander Edwards at Sonny’s local Virgin Active Club.
The Munch Fit Lean Plan, followed by Sonny, is specially tuned for fat loss. The diet is about 380 kcal per serving and provides 30g of protein and 21g of carbohydrates per serving and is designed to help you lose weight.
Sony Jay’s plan included additional breakfast pieces to help him get started early, but he realized he didn’t need them. He states: “I don’t have to worry about what I’m cooking. It can be stressful, especially if you’ve had a busy day.

“So the food arrives at my door and all I have to do is put them in the fridge: it’s a sweet life.”
He added:
“I’m literally sticking to the right diet and I’m not hungry. I just do a protein shake between meals. That’s it. It feels like it’s working perfectly for me.”
Sonny’s BMI has dropped from 27 to 26 in the plan. He also reduced his metabolic age from 38 to 30. His body fat decreased from 22 percent to 19.6 percent, while his muscle mass increased from 74.2 percent to 76.5 percent.
His hips saw the biggest change from 40 inches to 35.5 inches. His chest is 38 inches up to 40 inches.
A lover of carbs and international flavors, Sony Jay cooked heavy meals like spaghetti bolognese in batches to meet him all week long. But he felt better with his new meal.
Sonny said: “Munch Fit has opened up a world of different foods for me. I love flavors, it’s mine, and the lean plan curry is really great. They are really delicious Thai with beef satay and cauliflower rice. I will cook.
“I’ve had turkey burritos for breakfast, which I hadn’t eaten before, but it was really good.
“Then there’s something obvious, like a hamburger, that you don’t necessarily think is good for you.
“They take out the bread, add a little quinoa and salad, that’s good for you, and muffins with natural yogurt-it’s all gluten-free.”
He also claims to feel more energetic after starting the plan. He states: I get up very early, go to work, then go home and have no energy to do anything else for the rest of the day.
“I don’t have a ceiling right now. I’m looking forward to feeling out of the gym. I’m looking forward to having a good meal and knowing what’s good for me.”
