The gym equipment is great and I like nothing but spending an hour to burn steam in the gym. However, you don’t need a gym for effective training. This week, let’s chat with resistance bands and how to use them for amazing results. There are also quick, easy and great dinner recipes when your friends are done.
I have to travel a lot and believe in me, it’s not as attractive as it looks! The list goes on, away from family, terribly missing children, losing time to wait at the airport, living outside a suitcase. So over the years, I’ve perfected some great ways to keep time as close to home routines as possible. One way to do this is to move your body. Every time I do something, I feel better. Jim isn’t always there, so one of the things I know is a versatile and easy-to-use resistance band.
What I like about them is that they are very versatile. Whether it’s your first exercise, an athlete, or an avid weight trainer. The Resistance Band is for everyone! There are five ways to use a resistance band in your workout.
1. Squat: Place the resistance band under your knees. Stretch your knees until you feel resistance. Start squats. It’s also great for supporting your knees in case of discomfort.
2. Thighs: Place on your thighs. When lying down, raise your legs and slowly raise them into the air. Feel the resistance, hold for 2 seconds, and slowly descend.
3. Push-ups: Place the resistance band on your elbows. Enter the push-up position. This will make you feel great in your arms and will help you get back on track!
4. Ankle: Place on your ankle and lie down. Slowly raise your feet into the air,
5. Under the arm: Place the resistance band on your wrist and bring your arm forward. If you start to stretch it too much, you will feel a burn under your arm and you will get a big burn.
What I like is that you can use a simple resistance band to reach a stronger band while increasing resistance. The true beauty of the band is that it only uses its resistance to training, which means that you can pace your training, especially if you have areas of pain or discomfort. Many members have asked questions about joint and lower back pain, which is the perfect device for them. As always, always talk to your doctor or physiotherapist when you start something new. That way, they can advise you on the best stretches to help you personally.
