Craig Benzin has tackled all sorts of month-long challenges, including giving up caffeine, sugar and alcohol to see how they affect his health. In the new video, he promises to do more physical activity every day. Specifically, he walks 20,000 steps. “I work at home and edit videos. Unless I’m actively looking for ways to get active, that won’t happen,” he says.
The first thing he notices is the time it takes to cover 20,000 steps of walking in just a day or two of the challenge. “Four hours of walking really affects your day,” he says. “It’s not that hot yet, so it’s great in the morning.”
Benzine weighed 177 pounds in the first place and gained 2 pounds in the early days. It is placed on the body that retains water when adapting to new exercise therapies. And it won’t be long before he begins to notice some non-physical and careful benefits to his new habits.
“When your work involves things that are unclear or unrestricted, there are no plans other than the ones you make,” he says. “Doing something that doesn’t require thought is just intriguing.”
He also found that it helped him in other areas of his life, especially making his work more efficient. “Even if it takes three and a half or four hours to walk every day, you can do everything you need,” he says. “I think this is the most cycle bust I’ve ever done. It’s taking over my life.”
At the end of the month, Benzin lost a total of £ 6. “There are so many factors in weight loss that I’ve pointed to one thing so far, and this isn’t the solution,” he says. “Also, weight loss isn’t the only goal, it may not be the goal at all when it comes to health.”
But he then added, in his experience, that such a large amount of low-impact aerobic exercise was “probably the easiest way to lose weight ever.” “I wouldn’t be able to maintain this every day,” he continues. “Hopefully, you’ll be able to walk more than before.”
A few weeks later, he provided the latest information and admitted that he couldn’t keep achieving 20,000 steps every day, but he was achieving his more realistic goal of 10,000. “I was much more likely to take a walk break from time to time, which was great.”
