A teenage bodybuilder who became viral after crushing weights at the gym was no longer recognizable in Instagram photos five years later.
Tristyn Lee became famous when his followers began to notice a gladiator-like physique in a video uploaded online.
The young man wanted his clip to show off his impressive football skills at the age of 15 to get the scouter’s attention.
Instead, he was flooded with comments about becoming a professional bodybuilder, and since then he has made a significant presence on Instagram, which has about 2 million followers.
American teens have posted well-known training in the bodybuilding industry, including Bradley Martin, Simeon Panda, and Rally Wheels.
Five years later, Lee looks almost unrecognizable.
In a post titled “Workouts Saved My Life,” Lee shares a short clip comparing her 15-year-old with her current bodybuilding machine.
Still one can see a young and slim Lee posing in the changing room.
Lee Seung-yuop continued, explaining that he was made fun of by being short, and said that he felt anxious and depressed, saying that he was “not confident.”
“I found bodybuilding because I didn’t have a place to escape.”
After five years of fast-forwarding, Lee appears to be torn more than ever and believes that bodybuilding “saved him.”
“It’s not a selfie of a shirtless mirror, literally when the dumbbells are holding your back when no one is there,” he said.
“Even if I was bullied or beaten at school, Jim was always there and it saved me. There is one person at a time.”
Lee says he follows a strict diet routine and goes to the gym at least twice a day.
He argues that the shredder’s physique is due to a high-protein ketogenic diet without sugar and cheat meal for three years.
“This is a message to anyone thinking of starting a fitness journey. Don’t hesitate to take hits, accept criticism and fall over and over again.”
Lee isn’t the only bodybuilding youth who seems unrecognizable for years after becoming well known.
