material:
- 1/2 cup cracked wheat
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- 1/2 cup palm jaggery
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons raisins
- 2 teaspoons cashew nuts
- 2 tsp almond flakes
- 1 and 1/2 cups water
Method:
- For the first step, put a teaspoon of ghee in a frying pan.heat the frying pan for a while
- Add cashew nuts, almond flakes and raisins to the frying pan and fry until golden brown.Set aside for a while after frying.
- Then roast the crushed wheat in the same pan over low heat.When it becomes golden brown, turn off the heat and transfer it to the pressure cooker.
- Next, heat a pressure cooker and add 1 1/2 cups of water and 1/2 cups of milk.
- Allow the rice cooker to cool completely before opening the lid.
- Add 1/4 cup of water to the bowl and add the grated jaggery to dissolve
- This melted jaggery is then put into the cooked crushed wheat and heated again
- Stir constantly during cooking until the jaggery syrup dries and the broken halva begins to move away from the sides of the pan.
- For this step, add cardamom powder, fried nuts and 1/2 teaspoon of ghee to the pan.
- Mix all ingredients well and turn off the heat
- Finally Daliya Ka Halwa is ready to serve
Note:
- There are many different types of crushed wheat on the market. You can use thin dahlia as well as thick dahlia.Add more water if it’s too thick, less water if it’s too thin
- Instead of cooking dahlias in a pot, you can pressure cook them with a whistle for 4 minutes.Time saving with pressure cooking
- You can also use apple puree instead of jaggery or sugar for sweetness.Especially for babies under 1 year old
