Participants in the Super Fitness Weight Loss Challenge kicked off the season by racing through challenges on the Imagination Station.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Contestants of the Super Fitness Weight Loss Challenge enter their 16th season. Host Kelly Hydebledder and the Super Fitness team lead them through a gymnastics maze at Imagination Station on Saturday.
“Imagination Station was the first place in our challenge over the last 14 seasons. .
Challengers kicked off the event with a Guinness World Records science exhibit, shooting a basket as fast as they could with a basketball. They then sprinted around the main floor around the mezzanine, lifting heavy balls of varying weights into crates on the tabletops. At the end, run through the maze and step up.
Competitors also carried weights as they ran through Anderson’s Farming Maze before running to the finish line by the front desk.
“Running was the hardest,” said participant Andy Tucker, who finished the challenge first with a time of 2:25. “I haven’t run like that since I started playing soccer.”
TJ Baker came second with a time of 2:31. Michelle Fielder was third, with a time of 2:33. Derek Hughes was fourth with a time of 2:35. Matthew Tucker was fifth, with a time of 2:36.

Challengers will join Dave’s Turkey Chase starting at the WTOL 11 studios on Thanksgiving morning, and the December challenge will kick off with a toy drive in support of WTOL 11’s Gift of Joy campaign.
“There are some surprises for challengers about this,” said Heidbreder.
