People have always been territorial about cardio.
Efferding prefaced the various benefits of aerobic exercise for sedentary and active people. He nodded to the cardiovascular benefits of getting your heart rate elevated for a long time.
Cardio may not be as important as your fitness level or strength level.
Efferding suggests that people who meet the expected VO2 max index live longer than those who don’t.
Aerobic exercise is not always required.
According to Efferding, measurable VO2 max is “best” when it comes to measuring health. Cardio may not be necessary, but it has benefits that specifically impact performance. For weightlifters, improved aerobic fitness means they can perform more volume during lifting sessions, train more often, and may even recover faster.
