Grand Rapids, Michigan — There is no best way to celebrate National Dog Biscuit Day other than making homemade treats for puppies. Our friend Grace Derocha, a registered dietitian and national spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Nutrition, teaches simple recipes using just three ingredients.
It is very important to love our dogs as they have been proven to take care of us. Dog owners are good for their mental and physical health. Our pets provide unconditional love and lots of hugs, and dog owners take a walk to approach 150 minutes of physical activity per week. Therefore, in the long run, we can thank dogs for their help in preventing chronic diseases such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

- ⅓ Cup of pure pumpkin (not stuffed with pumpkin pie)
- ¼ cup of natural peanut butter
