A New York Reddit user has been told by others online that his gym habits aren’t normal, but he’s not disrespectful to anyone about using a treadmill four hours a day in his apartment building gym. was guaranteed.
More than 2,000 people responded to his question on Reddit, and he also spoke to Fox News Digital on the issue.
“AITA for using the treadmill in my building gym for four hours?” Reddit user “Am I the A*****e” (AITA) posted on Jan. 27 on the subreddit known as Pr1mrose” asked.
“I’m on the treadmill for four hours a day (light jogging, not Usain Bolt long runs) from 6am to 10am,” the man explained.

“At this time, the gym is mostly empty from 6-7:45 a.m. and from 8:30-10 a.m.,” he wrote.
The user explained that his building has a small gym for residents, with four treadmills, three bikes, three stair/elliptical machines, and an area for weight training. He said the gym is open until 10pm every day.
Pr1mrose added that all four treadmills were rarely in use at once, “perhaps 15 minutes every other day.”
He also added, “I did a test today and had at least one treadmill free for the entire four hours and was running alone for over three hours. There are a lot of days. [when] Capacity is not hit at all and some days it is a very limited time window. β
The man was told that the new rules “come from management”.
However, the building management has decided to limit the use of cardio machines to 45 minutes and has sent an email to all residents of the building.

“I’m 99% sure it was directed at me. About three hours later this morning, a woman (I think the building manager’s assistant) informed him of the rules.”
The other three treadmills were empty at the time. Pr1mrose was told that the rule was “by management.”
A doorman came later and told him there was a 45 minute limit on the cardio machines.
Pr1mrose wrote that the rule was not printed anywhere in the gym and was not the previous policy.
“I’m not sure Reddit, am I missing something or am I a********e?”

In the AITA subreddit, contributors are “NTA” (“Not A*****e”), “YTA” (“You are A*****e”), “NAH” (“No A* ****e Here”) or “ESH” (“Everyone Sucks Here”).

Users can “upvote” answers they find helpful and “disagree” on answers they don’t.
Most of the Reddit users who responded to this post said they believed Pr1mrose was an “NTA”.
“NTA” and Reddit user “Thediciplematt” wrote in the most upvoted comment.
“What if it was the only one? Sure, but there are four and I can’t imagine anyone else running for hours,” the person wrote.
Thediciplematt also suggested that Pr1mrose switch treadmills every 45 minutes.

Another user suggested taking a break when Pr1mrose ran for 45 minutes and then 3 other treadmills were occupied.
“4 hours is a long time for a workout… not sure if that’s healthy behavior…”
“NTA, but the remaining three have been taken and one should be released if it’s been in use for more than 45 minutes,” wrote Reddit user “Pepper-90210.”
Some have expressed concern over the health of Pr1mrose.
“Sorry, I can’t stop jogging four hours a day. Are you okay?” wrote a Reddit user, “itsamezario.”
“Why are you using it? [the treadmill] for so long? A four hour workout is a long time and I’m not sure if that’s healthy behavior,” said Reddit user “Financial-Bottle-872.”

In a follow-up post, Pr1mrose explained that he is a former heavy drinker who uses his time on his treadmill to listen to podcasts and music, and “spend time on himself and reflect on his life.” I explained that there is

“I’m not trying to be confrontational. I literally don’t understand the rules,” he said.
