needle: Most of the time, I eat what I like when I want. However, I am an athlete and I am doing it by applying my many years of knowledge that I have been in good physical condition. I don’t eat every meal like McDonald’s. If you say you’re hungry, listen to your body and eat.
I have a fast metabolism. It’s very difficult to put on weight. So I eat late at night. Recently, I’ve been eating a high-calorie diet late into the night to gain weight.
I have never had that particular problem.
I just eat a lot of steak and rice. Lots of steak and rice late at night.
How about training?
Six days a week, I’m in the weight room. Lifting. Cardio. I’ve been there for a few hours. That’s my favorite part of the day. It’s therapeutic for me. Traveling can be difficult, but I try to ride the ring two days a week.
I mainly train in bodybuilding psychology. I am based on what I see in the mirror on my training. As Arnold once said, you can carve yourself out of the stone. If you know how to identify the spots you want to hit and accumulate, you can develop a particular aesthetic and find yourself.
Before becoming a wrestler, he received a lacrosse scholarship. Is there anything you learned in the meantime that influenced today’s wrestling?
When I was in high school, I started working with a private trainer and nutritionist. And they helped me a lot and taught me the basics of caring for and conditioning my body. They will let me keep a record of my daily diet. They confirmed that I had enough calories in every diet, had the right macro balance, and I was eating the right amount of food every day to optimize my training. It was always trying to inform me about how everything I put into my body helped my body develop. I don’t currently work with trainers or nutritionists because I’ve known for years what works for me. I know when I need to push and when I need to pull back.
You are called a “handsome devil” in a business where people are paid to look good without a shirt. Does it keep you motivated to train?
I know that. However, I am always passionate about the gym and maintain the shape I want to be. It hasn’t changed much since I appeared on TV.
What attracted you to the wrestling business, except for the fact that your dad had such a successful career with it? Why was this what you wanted to do?
I love all forms of creativity. In life you will have the opportunity to design your own. And when I realized how creative I was in the world of professional wrestling, I felt that I could put together all my greatest passions. Being an athlete, being a fighter, and being a creator. And you know, a kind of hybrid of both of them.
You quickly made a pretty strong connection with professional wrestling fans. How did it feel to you?
I’m still struggling to put it into words. It was a very surrealistic feeling. The hype that was booming before my debut definitely put me under a lot of pressure. But I was an athlete for the rest of my life. I had to deal with the pressure before. So I wasn’t scared. I felt ready to attack.
I want to be the AEW World Championship. that’s it. That is the goal. But besides wrestling, we plan to delve into several other markets, such as design and artistic production. I would also like to consider acting and modeling.
