Policy makers need to address the social determinants of mental health issues. Common strategies include creating support services to protect vulnerable groups (low-income, unemployed, women and girls, the elderly, children, refugees, etc.). Building social capital and strengthening intergenerational cohesion in the face of financial difficulties (eg, cross-generational support and support for young and old people). Promote mental health through recreational environments, group sports, life skills, and the use of mental health services (such as stress management and anger management). Overall, policy makers need to apply a systems thinking approach to mental health.
