Muskogee residents Ed Harmon, Erica Self, Darryl Collins, and several other Muskogee TOPS members were recognized for their successful weight loss on the recent Oklahoma TOPS Certification Day in Tulsa. Together, the group lost over £ 400.
Harmon, who lost £ 121, was elected the international “King”. Each year, TOPS, short for Take Off Pounds Sensibly, recognizes men and women who lose the most weight to reach their goals at local, state, and international levels. Among all TOPS members in the United States and Canada, Harmon achieved the highest target loss and was named the international “King” with a loss of £ 110 in 2021 to become the state’s king and division winner. It was chosen.
Harmon cites support for his TOPS chapter in reasons for intermittent fasting, low glycemic index food intake, and weight loss.
“It was an atmosphere that made me want to come on Tuesday night. I heard a lot, learned a lot, and made a plan for myself and my own weight loss that fits the way I learned,” Harmon said. Told.
The self, who lost 156 pounds the most among female TOPS members in Oklahoma, was selected as the TOPS “Queen” in Oklahoma. She said, “I started walking more at work and relied on the support of my family, especially her mother.”
TOPS provided not only support, encouragement and awards, but also an “environment without judgment”. “It’s an understatement to say I’m happy,” she said.
He has also won the Century Award for losing more than £ 100.
“The weight loss of Ed and Erica is remarkable,” said Maria Alexander, Coordinator of TOPS, Oklahoma. “For 65 years, Oklahoma TOPS has been recognized every year and there are no kings and queens in the same chapter.”
Darryl Collins, who lost £ 49 in 2021, was credited with his weight loss. He lost most of the men in his department in the 2021 calendar year.
“My current success, coupled with accurate measurement, measurement and recording of diet and calorie intake, with lots of walking, exercise and support from many TOPS members,” says Collins.
In addition, two other Muskogee branch members, Patricia Self and Kathy Harmon, were found to have reached their target weight in 2021. The two lost £ 31 and £ 29, respectively. Another branch member, Elease Lyons, was recognized for maintaining a weight loss of £ 42 for 50 years. In total, the Mascogie branch lost an average of £ 14 per member in 2021. This is the most common branch in the state.
“If you’re seriously looking to be in a pound-dropping environment, this may be a chapter to consider,” Alexander said.
