Personal trainers and fitness influencers have explained how walking can help reduce belly fat. Emily Fury said that “as easy as walking is great” for slimming.
Emily, who recently launched a new training program, FI7NESS, on TV.FIT’s world-leading wellness and fitness app, TRUCONNECT, said:
“Apart from the physical benefits, I also cannot fully emphasize how walking can help your mental health.
“In a world where we consume social media on a daily basis, going for a walk is very important to your headspace.”
Take it slowly to avoid injury. Extra steps above a person’s current daily average will help you lose weight.

Doing more than you were doing is already a result.
Once you get used to walking more, the first good milestone to try is to take 10,000 steps every day.
After this, if you can maintain your abilities, consider walking more.
In many cases, smaller changes fit the routine better than larger ones.

- Use the stairs instead of the elevator
- Get off the bus early, stop and walk
- Walk around the shop at lunch

Emily added: “The best thing is that you can tailor your workout to your specific needs. Switch repeats, breaks, and total times to suit you.
“As long as you push yourself, it doesn’t matter how long or short your workout is.”
PT also talked about food. She states: “I never suggest a restrictive approach, and I think people should be able to eat to some extent what they want.
“That said, tracking calories can help, so you know exactly what’s happening inside and outside your body.
“For me, the key to weight loss is consistency and fun.
The fitness guru described in the AMRAP workout maintains metabolism for long periods of time after exercise.
She elaborated on some of her favorite AMRAP workout moves. Great if you don’t have enough time.
Emily said: “Push yourself until you can’t do it anymore, even if it’s only 5 or 6 minutes.”
