Elevate Elite Performance offers free workout sessions every Sunday. “Take a chance, get out of your comfort zone, challenge yourself and do something different.”
Chris Muncaster, Professional Trainer at Elevate Elite Performance, said:
Muncaster is one of several trainers at Elevate who are calling on Soltite to challenge themselves by joining the group for a free 30-minute workout session every Sunday.
For the past decade, Elevate’s Queen Street facility has provided residents with the tools and expertise to stay healthy.
As with virtually all gyms over the past two and a half years, COVID has thrown fitness groups several curveballs, forcing them to close for months.
Marianne Nakarat joined Elevate during the pandemic to help kickstart the group’s online presence, allowing locals to work out from home.
Elevate trainers feel a growing need to get people out of their homes as the COVID-19 pandemic forces everyone to stay home, so they host a free public workout session once a week I ignited the idea of doing it.
“We wanted to move people out of their homes,” says Muncaster. “We’re trying to make it different and fun.”
“It’s nice to meet new people,” adds Naccarato.
With 20 years of experience, Muncaster has trained 12 national fitness champions and has been nominated as Canada’s Trainer of the Year by Muscle Insider Magazine.
Their team strives to maintain a safe, educational, and fun environment for everyone who participates in their workouts.
“We are Transformation Gym,” says Muncaster. “It’s important to be active in the gym, but we’re more focused on helping people reach their goals.”
Elevate Trainers run weekly sessions every Sunday at a different location. New workout locations will be posted on his Facebook page one day in advance.
They acknowledge that their social media presence can be perceived as an intense workout group, but participants are encouraged to do what they can in the non-judgmental zone.
“It’s a ‘go at your own pace’ mentality,” says Muncaster. “You’re just racing yourself.”
“I keep challenging myself, getting better every week, and pushing myself,” adds Nakarat.
Naccarato is one of the team’s big success stories. She lost over 80 pounds during the transformation.
Elevate’s free workout is now in its 13th week, and attendance has steadily increased since its launch.
Registration is not required on Sundays, and we plan to continue the meetup throughout the winter.
“The first session is always the hardest,” says Muncaster.
“Take a chance, step out of your comfort zone, challenge yourself and do something different,” adds Nakarat.
