Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has praised UFC president Dana White for losing weight following a strict ketogenic diet.
White decided to make a lifestyle change after speaking with Gary Brecca, co-founder of 10X Health System, a company aimed at improving human performance. The 53-year-old said his blood tests showed he had only 10.4 more years to live if he continued on his path.
The UFC president vowed on the spot to change his lifestyle, and has been on a strict keto diet for over 13 weeks since. The results speak for themselves, as we have made it clear many times that we have never.
In a video uploaded to YouTube, cameras caught Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dana White clashing backstage at UFC 280.
“You skinny guy! He won’t send me his diet. I need this. Before I was a light heavyweight and you were a heavyweight, I was a light heavyweight, He’s a welterweight.”

UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad talks about coaching Khabib Nurmagomedov
Despite retiring in 2020, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s legacy is still growing in the UFC. The former lightweight champion has since turned to coaching, and UFC 280 has proven that his coaching has already been a huge success.
Islam Makachev dominated Charles Oliveira to win the lightweight title in the main event. Belal Muhammad also surprised fans with how he won the match on the qualifying card.
Muhammad moved to No. 4 in the welterweight rankings after defeating Sean Brady at UFC 280. Most impressive of his performance was “Remember the Name” ending Brady’s undefeated record in his second round.
According to Muhammad, it’s no surprise that he played his best in the octagon after being coached by Khabib Nurmagomedov.
“One of the best things I have noticed is seeing what he wants from you. He wants greatness from you. , seeing Kobe Bryant go to the gym at 4 a.m., and so is Khabib, wanting to do extra for him and push myself harder for him.
