Fans of James Martin, 49, will notice the chef’s weight loss and changes in appearance in recent years. After losing his weight, James was able to focus on his diet and maintain his weight by exercising more. But he didn’t have to avoid some of his favorite foods to reach his goal.
After losing weight a few years ago, James continues to stay healthy by eating small amounts and walking his dog in the fields around his house.
The chef has cut fatty foods from his diet in the past, but has never felt the need to avoid his favorite foods such as butter.
Following the release of his new book, Butter: Comfortable, Delicious, Versatile – Over 130 recipes to celebrate butter, James praised the seasonings.
Some might think that butter shouldn’t be on a diet, but James disagreed.

James explained that it’s healthier to cook instead of eating in the microwave.
He states: Good food is just cooked food – it’s not rocket science.
“You don’t have to be Gordon Ramsay to make a healthy diet. What’s easier than frying a little salmon in a frying pan and adding great new potatoes and seasonal vegetables?
“A healthy diet is a combination of fruits, vegetables, meat and fish, and you can lose weight by exercising,” the chef added.
When he left, exactly two months later, James reportedly lost five giant stones.
Most recently, in 2018, James lost a few pounds again after noticing that he had put on a little weight.
He began to notice changes in his appearance when he saw himself on television, and he also received cruel comments about his weight online.
These problems motivated him to lose weight again.
Talking to the sun at the time, James said:
“So I lost a stone and half.”
When talking to MailOnline, he added:
“I used to watch TV on a small TV, but now it’s huge.”
