What is the training routine for the Duchess of Cambridge?
The royal family is known for incorporating a generous hybrid of aerobic exercise and strength training into her lifestyle. From running to weightlifting, cycling to rowing, yoga to HIIT, the sporty Duchess training routine is certainly not for the timid.
The Duchess follows a very diverse training routine
I decided to follow a 14-day training plan that included as many of the Duchess’ favorite exercises as possible.

- Run 3km
- 45 minutes weight training
Days 2, 6 and 7
- 45 minutes spin class
- 1 hour yoga
8th, 10th and 12th days
- 10,000 steps
- 45 minutes weight training
Day 9, 11 and 13
14th day
How did you find each exercise?
Weight training
Enthusiastic about seeking expert advice before delving into weight training, I spoke Juliana LeonardiSenior personal trainer David Lloyd George Kensington Who weighed what you need to know about lifting as a woman (do you know?).
The Duchess has an incredibly lean physique
“The key to achieving a lean, lean body like the Duchess of Cambridge without being bulky is to make a few lightweight iterations,” Juliana explained.

“I definitely believe in the Duchess of Cambridge weighttrain,” says Juliana. “Weight training has many benefits, from leaning and strengthening to improving bone fate, burning fat, and helping posture.”
As a full weightlifting rookie, I find Juliana’s exercises fun and surprisingly simple. However, the next day’s burns proved that he didn’t have to lift heavy weights to feel the difference.
running
Both Kate and her sister, Pippa Middleton, An avid runner.according to Daily mailWhen the Duchess was in Norfolk, he enjoyed a long run with his family dog Lupo by her side before he died, so find time to run as often as possible.

Participating in a daily run turned out to be surprisingly difficult, as I think it’s the most motivating thing to do. I think running is one of the “practices whether you like it or hate it”, and I’m definitely in the latter category. I always tried to start my workout with a slow 2km jogging and sweated on David Lloyd’s curved treadmill.
cycling
The Duchess of Cambridge is confident that she won’t pump Taylor Swift at 7am, as she did in my spin class, but she knows she’s an avid cycler. Prior to her becoming Duchess, Kate was found on a regular bike ride near her parents’ home in Bucklebury and at Hyde Park using a London cycle scheme bike.

I don’t know if it’s just the London cycle scene, but it’s scary to spin. The instructor is intimate, with a weird cult-like atmosphere (yes, that’s it!) That makes everyone in the room seem to know the automatically choreographed bike graphics, and Ibiza on Monday morning. Often the club has too few playlists. But sweat is real, so you have to do something.
yoga
As a holiday activity, I expected to use yoga to rest my body from weights and aerobic exercise, but I often exhausted my class.
The Duchess of Kate loves the holistic movement. Kate invited a yoga instructor from Mustik Island to a 2011 wedding, and she prepared for Prince George’s birth at a 2013 prenatal yoga session.
What did you learn from exercising for a week like Kate Middleton?
Regular regular exercise works mysteriously on your mental health
As I nailed my awakening, exercise, work, sleep, and repetitive routines, I began to notice major changes in focus, motivation, and mental health. I started craving for endorphins after training, and I knew I had broken the fitness goals of the day before I started working, waking up to start work and dragging myself to my desk It was a lot more rewarding than my usual slogan (Ahem).

I was starting to feel tired by about 9 pm, so I slept much earlier and had at least 8 hours of sleep each night. This is much more than I’m used to.
Not worth the injury
As the final day of the challenge approached, I really had to listen to my body so I wouldn’t get hurt. At one point, I felt I was overdoing my aerobic exercise, so I replaced my weight training session with slow yoga at home. And I know my body thanked me for it.
All before 9am! It’s no wonder my muscles hurt …
Finding the right balance between exercise and rest is always difficult. Especially if you suddenly increase your physical activity.
You need to increase your food intake
We often hear that “calorie deficiency” is the key to weight loss, but we rarely hear about the importance of eating enough calories to maintain energy for exercise. I’m confident that I would have been fainted by the third day if I had tripled my daily exercise for this challenge and continued to eat as usual.
Around the fourth day of the challenge, I realized I was starting to wake up very hungry and was trying to sleep with what I felt like hungry. This is when I learned that I wasn’t fueling my body enough to empower my body through my training. One day my Apple Watch said I burned more than 3,000 calories a day, so it’s no wonder I was weak and crazy when I wasn’t eating enough.
Farmer J’s healthy field tray was a lifesaver at lunchtime
We added a lot of protein and fresh vegetables to rejuvenate the body while keeping the diet healthy. And when I imagined one, I never denied myself a treat (or two).
Do not underestimate the power of yoga
You may have been tired and sweaty from weight training, but it was after yoga that you felt your body did the best. Not only did my core burn up by the end of every class, but after a sweaty session in Chaturanga Dandasanas (a low board hold), my upper back and chest muscles were severely distressed.
The rest day was a great opportunity to do yoga at home
Yoga has proven to be beneficial for body core, posture and stability, so it’s no wonder that the Duchess has incorporated yoga into her lifestyle as a way to relax and build strength.
Every body is different
On the final day of the challenge (girls can dream), I have to make my goals as realistic as I wanted to wake up with the slender and toned physique of the Duchess of Cambridge. did not.
Fitness progress requires a lot of time and commitment
Fitness is a lifestyle and it requires a lot of commitment and dedication. So, despite a disciplined approach to the challenge, my physical changes were minimal, but that doesn’t mean it was a complete failure. I sought a new style of workout, bravely confronted Jim’s horrifying weights section, and nailed my first 5k run in a few months.
Aesthetically, the changes may be small. Mentally, I’m ready to attend Kate Middleton’s next workout and continue exploring the potential of my fitness goals.
