The star, known to her family as Alana Thompson, was fascinated by the cameras because she had her supportive older sister Pumpkin by her side.

Pumpkin shared behind-the-scenes snaps from Alana’s photo shoot on social media.
Alana snapped in a yellow and blue graduate robe and snapped some glamorous headshots in a simple black top.
The Mama June: Road to Redemption star also snapped some adorable casual photos in a sweater that says “senior” and a white cheerleading skirt.
In all the photos, Alana wore dark eye makeup with false eyelashes and straightened hair.
Pumpkin proudly captioned every photo on social media.
“I’m so proud to have come this far against all odds thrown at you. Here in Alana’s last year of high school. Sorry for my ugly crying, lol.”
Pumpkin concluded, “We love Lana!”

Last month, Alana’s manager revealed that the Mama June: Road to Redemption star was planning to head to New York for weight loss surgery.
Alana heads north for surgery in late August after celebrating her 17th birthday.
The reality star opted for a “suture sculpted endoscopic sleeve” from Dr. Stephen Batash, which costs over $13,000.
The TV personality explains that she has reached 275 pounds and wants to drop down to 150 pounds to live a healthier lifestyle.
After trying her luck with dieting and exercising over the past year, Alana said her results have been limited.
The young star explained to her rep that she fears her weight gain is genetic and that surgery is the only way to lose weight.
The former pageant girl’s manager says her older sister and full-time guardian Pumpkin, 22, is behind the decision.
Alana’s boyfriend, 21-year-old Doraline, has also offered support, and has decided to undergo surgery with the TV star.
But the TLC alum’s decision comes as a bit of a surprise. The Sun previously revealed that Alana’s younger sister, Laurin “Pumpkin” Effild, is broke and can barely afford groceries for her teen and four young children.

A mother of four, she struggles to feed her extended family, which includes twins under two months old, son Bentley, who is not yet a year old, and daughter Ella, who is four.
She also has full custody of her sister Alana.
Several factors have come to light regarding the 22-year-old’s financial situation.
One family insider said, “Pumpkin said he didn’t have any groceries in the house in June.
The source added incredulously: “Why would a mother say such a thing?!”
Shortly after Lauryn’s twins were born, the TV star was promoting her Amazon wishlist on her TikTok and her Instagram, which included items fans could buy her for the babies.
She later removed the link to her wishlist.
The Sun can also reveal that Josh and Lauryn share a previously estimated $71,000 Georgia home with four children and sister Alana.
In a statement to The Sun, Lauryn claimed: “It’s my home and I rent it to own it.”
She also added, “I am doing very well financially…my kids and we have everything we need and want.
Fans of the show think the longtime reality star lives the good life, but in an interview with The Sun in May, Mama June, 42, insisted: Pay what people think.
“We all have regular entrepreneurial jobs after filming. [my daughter] Jessica works at a nursery school. Josh works with our friend. I have an event to go out. “
The family is now part of Mama June: Road to Redemption, which airs Fridays on WeTV.
