I started my fitness trip in 2019 when I was 23 years old. I recently got engaged and had a wedding in the summer. I really wanted to be healthy. But my first goal was to lose weight … and that was it. I didn’t care about getting stronger or growing big muscles – I just wanted to look small.
When I fast-forwarded, I quickly realized that I had actually reached my so-called “target weight” and was no longer satisfied or happy in my life.I wanted to discover true happiness and strength, both mentally and physically.. I decided to shift my focus away from weight and body and instead focus on mental and physical toughness.
At that time, I decided to confront the fear of Jim and weightlifting. I wanted to change my life and happiness in the long run. I thought accepting something completely new and unpleasant was a great way to turn over new leaves. A new start and way of thinking.
I hired a coach to help with confidence and training.
I was very nervous to enter the gym. I didn’t even know how to operate the treadmill other than pressing the start button. But I decided to make a real life change.
I wasn’t an athlete at all. I tried multiple sports at school, but I wasn’t passionate about any of them, so I didn’t do anything for too long.me too Hate Physical education class.

All this means that Jim was new to me. When I first started, I started light strength training. I was very anxious! But I started following strong, amazing, and inspirational women on social media and learned from their platform. (These include: Sydney Adams When Makaila Anisia.. )
I’ve always wanted a coach, but I wanted someone who was a woman, set foot on the ground, and invested in their clients. I searched and searched until I found the person who gave me the best atmosphere. That is Kerry Lewis of Progressive Performance P2— She is a * bomb *.
Now I’m exercising 5 days a week and 2 days left. I usually do training splits for specific upper body muscles and then spend the day focusing on the lower body. I usually have a couple of upper body days and the rest are lower body days. I will work with my coach to plan in detail what happened at the time about focusing on growth.

It was important to find a supportive environment and find like-minded people.
First, I found a gym that was close to me, easy to move around, and comfortable. Touring different gyms is a suggestion for anyone starting their fitness journey. Test several places near you and choose the one that you feel most comfortable with!

The community is another thing that I have helped. I have a group of close friends who share the same passion for health and fitness as I do. It creates a world of difference when you are around people who want to see you grow and reach your goals. I left my comfort zone, went to the same local gym, started connecting with others who shopped at the same local supplement store, and built a strong and credible friendship with them. You can learn from each other and build together.

I am most proud to overcome my gym anxiety.
When I first started training, I was taking a break in the changing room. The whole room felt like looking at me, and it had days to kill my motivation and my training.
By living my daily life, I was able to overcome my anxiety. Wearing cute gym outfits, listening to your favorite music on the drive, appearing at the same time every day, seeing familiar faces, putting on headphones, a new “me” time. You learn that no one sees or judges you. We are all in the gym for the same reason: growth.

It also allows for a £ 185 deadlift. This is absolutely touching to me.
I’m currently working on building strength with a gradual overload (this is to make sure you’re gradually gaining strength, you’re in your area of responsibility, weight size, or It’s a place to increase both). My deadlift starts at £ 105 and the current maximum is £ 185. It’s some * amazing * progress I’m very proud of.
