Easy snack options: Most parents are also concerned about the quality, and often quantity, of the food their children eat. Snacks are important for children. This is because they need to consume something in short intervals so that they can be energetic and have the stamina to face their daily activities at school and play.
But this is easier said than done, and parents have to run around to feed most of their children on time. Pleasing the taste buds is another challenge, as healthy quotients need to be maintained for healthy nutritional levels.
1. Vegetable cutlet (spinach)
– Boil 4 potatoes and 1 cup of peas.
・Wash 1 bundle of spinach and parboil with a little salt.
– Pour 1 tsp of oil into a pan and sauté 0.5 inch of ginger and 2 green chillies
– Sauté all these ingredients over medium to high heat, transfer this to a grinder jar with coriander leaves and blend into a smooth mixture.
– Add red chili powder, salt, a pinch of garam masala and 1/4 cup bread crumbs to this mixture.
– Mix well.
-Make dough balls and flatten them into kababs or tikkis.
– Fry these patties in a hot pan until brown and crisp.
– Serve hot with ketchup or yogurt coriander chutney.
2. Apple and oat balls
– 1 apple, 2 dates, 1 cup oats, 1/2 cup walnuts, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and vanilla extract.
– Blend these ingredients until you get a fine texture.
– Make small balls from this mixture.
– Roll these oat balls into coconut (powder) to coat.
