Erica De La Cruz is currently Deputy Director of Billing and Customer Service. Her new program areas include claims services, self-insurance regulation, and later disability funds. Erica has been Director of Complaints and Customer Service since 2017. She managed the operations of her customer service team across the state, supporting her agency call centers, DWC form processing, and injured employee outreach efforts. Erica began working at DWC in 2005, where she held various positions, before transitioning to Claims and Customer Service in 2012, where she participated in improving internal and external Designated Physician processes. . She is a graduate of the Senior Management Development Program at the University of Texas Center for Management Development.
Mary Landrum is the new Deputy Commissioner for Health and Safety, succeeding Matt Zurek. As Vice Chair, she oversees the Medical Advisory Office, Healthcare Business Administration, Medical Expense Dispute Resolution, Workplace Safety, and Return to Work Programs. Mary will also continue to oversee the operation, training and certification of the Designated Physician Program. Mary has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Most recently, she served as DWC’s Director of Doctoral Practices and Healthcare Business Management. Mary joined DWC in February 2008 as Director of Medical Expense Dispute Resolution. Prior to joining DWC, she served as Director of Office Operations for Select Medical’s business, where she oversaw day-to-day office operations, accounting and revenue cycle management at over 100 outpatient physical therapy centers. Mary received a Bachelor’s degree from Texas State University and attended the Governor’s Executive Development Program at the University of Texas LBJ Public Affairs at her school. In 2018, the Workers’ Compensation Board appointed Mary to serve her two-year term on the Council of National Agencies in support of the Governor’s Commission for Women. Mary is currently serving her second term on the Council.
Kimberly Donovan is the DWC’s new Deputy Director of Operations and External Relations. New program areas include Communications, External Relations, and Research Assessment Groups. Kimberly has over 25 years of experience in insurance and government. Before she joined DWC in November, she was chief of the Public Insurance Lawyer’s Office (OPIC) where she was a policy analyst. Her responsibilities included analyzing/drafting personal line policy forms and invoices, managing agency activities related to external communications, social media, and legislative/public investigations. Kimberly also represented OPIC in the Texas State Legislature where she served as a key stakeholder in various outreach events. Prior to OPIC, she worked in the Texas Department of Insurance’s Regulatory Policy Division, where she was responsible for policy forms, rule drafting, bill analysis, and legislation implementation. She has also held various private sector leadership roles in the property and casualty insurance industry, including National Claims Compliance Manager, Quality Assurance Manager and Claims Service Center Manager. She Kimberly graduated from Auburn University and she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Tammy Campion will succeed Joe McElrath as the new Deputy Commissioner of Business Processes. She currently directs the day-to-day operations of various programs including Enterprise Her Automation Services, Information Management Services, and Business Process Services. Tammy’s responsibilities include managing DWC’s technology modernization efforts, electronic data interchange (EDI) processes, system data, and electronic records management. She has been Director of Business Process Operations since her February 2020. Tammy has more than 30 years of experience in the workers’ compensation industry, leading multiple levels of program areas and possessing advanced management capabilities in overseeing business operations efforts through program oversight.
Kate Sidora is DWC’s Director of External and Media Relations. In this role, she will manage her DWC’s government relations, legislative activities and stakeholder outreach. Most recently she was a publicist for DWC. Kate will continue to serve as DWC spokesperson and coordinate all media correspondence. Her Communications In her previous role on her team, she also developed and managed DWC’s social her media pages. Kate joined DWC as a Specialist in 2014 to help coordinate the Annual Education Conference and Physician Certification Training, and in 2016 she became a writer and copywriter for DWC Communications. I have moved. Governor’s Appointment Division under former Governor Rick Perry. Kate has a BA in English from Texas A&M University.
