The first fitness event in the Emirate was held on the weekend. Battle Cancer, a global fundraising event organization, held a fitness event on Saturday, allowing participants to raise money for a local cancer charity.
The event was supported by the Dubai Sports Council and X Dubai. Battle Can Third Buy was held at NAS Sports Complex from 8:30 am on March 19th.
Battle Cancer aims to help people affected by cancer by providing inspiration in the moment of darkness and helping recovery by connecting a supportive community that combines fun and fitness. .. Since its inception in 2017, Battle Cancer has raised over 11.9 million Dh (£ 2.4 million) to more than 50 cancer charities around the world.
Battle Cancer Dubai is a functional fitness challenge for a team of four and encouraged them to raise as much money as possible for the cancer charity of their choice. Charities supported through YallaGive included the Aljarira Foundation and the Emirates Red Crescent.
The team was scored (as raised as possible) with Battle Cancer funding at AMRAP, in addition to four fitness training sessions. The more money they raise, the higher the score. Battle Cancer workouts incorporate teamwork, high intensity aerobic exercise, fun functional fitness, and accessible weights.
