Diwali is a time to enjoy with family and dive into mouthwatering food. Sweets and delicious desserts become an important aspect of the festival. However, people who are on a diet or have diabetes find it difficult to eat sweets. Even if you’re not diet conscious and believe you’re eating well, indulging in too many sweets at once can be harmful to your body. Why not? Food blogger ‘Cook With Parul’ shares a video on her channel demonstrating the process of making about six mouthwatering treats that are sugar-free and guilt-free. From khajur pak to unsweetened ladoos, she can prepare these sweet delicacies at home to enjoy the festivities.
Here are six sugar-free dessert recipes for healthy indulgence.
1) Kajur Pak
material:
- Gond (edible gum) – 1/2 cup
- clarified butter – 4 tablespoons
- cashew nuts – 50 grams
- almonds – 50 grams
- Pistachios – 50 grams
- poppy seeds – 2 tablespoons
- Coconut powder – 4-5 tablespoons
- dates – 500 grams
- Cardamom powder – 1/4 tbsp
- dry ginger powder – 1/2 tbsp
- grated nutmeg (a little)
Method:
Step 1: Heat ghee in kadai and add gond. Continue sautéing over medium-low heat. Remove the gong from the pan and let it cool. Meanwhile, crumble together the cashews, almonds, and pista mixture.
Step 2: Roast this dried fruit mixture in ghee. Add poppy seeds to it. Mix well. To enhance the flavor, add coconut powder and mix well.
Step 3: Crush the roasted edible gum set aside.
Step 4: Take the soft dates, remove the seeds and prepare the coarse powder.
Step 5: Put ghee in Kadai and melt the ghee. Add the dates and simmer until they come out of the pot. Gradually add the ground pilot and dried fruit mixture as well. Add cardamom powder and dry ginger powder for seasoning. Finally add grated nutmeg and mix well.
Step 6: Line the plate with butter paper. Spread the ghee and place the mixture on a plate. Slice into pieces and enjoy!

2) Protein Laddu
material
- roasted peanuts – 1 cup
- Sesame – 1 cup
- oats – 1/2 cup
- dates – 200 grams
- Cardamom powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Saffron strands (several)
Method:
STEP1: Heat the sesame seeds in a frying pan over medium heat. Transfer to a plate when done. Let cool.
Step 2: Place the dried coconut in a frying pan and dry roast until golden brown. Empty into another bowl.
Step 3: Prepare the oats and roast them as well. Set aside on a plate.
Step 4: Put the roasted peanuts into the mashed jar. Make peanut flour.
Step 5: Mix coarse peanut powder and dry coconut. Place the till and oats in a jar and mash well. Add this mixture to the previous mixture.
Step 6 – Take soft dates and add water. Transfer it to a grinding jar and mix well until it becomes a thick paste. But don’t forget to remove the seeds. Cook over low heat until this paste separates from the pan.
Step 7: Add the coconut mixture to the date paste and mix everything gradually. Add cardamom powder and a few strands of saffron for extra flavor.
Step 8: Make Rado from the mixture.

3) Good Mysore Pak
material
- Gram flour (Bezan) – 1 cup
- clarified butter ghee – 1 cup
- Jaggery (gad) – 1 cup
Method:
Step 1: First, strain the gram flour before using. Dry roast the besan over low heat.
Step 2: Add ghee to gram flour and mix well. Make sure there are no lumps.
Step 3: Prepare the kadai and heat the water over medium-low heat. Dissolve jaggery in water to make syrup.
Step 4: Grease the tray or plate. Place butter paper on it and grease it as well.
Step 5: meanwhile, as gud [jaggery] Once melted, turn off the heat and add the besan batter to the syrup. Mix properly. Switch on the gas and let the besan cook. Add ghee to it and mix. You can see that it is beginning to absorb ghee.
Step 6: Empty the dough into the tray and spread it out. Leave as it is for 20 minutes.When you are done, cut them into square or rectangular shapes and make your gad [jaggery] Your Mysore pack is ready.
4) Immune Booster Ladoo
material
- almonds – 1/4 cup
- Cinnamon sticks – 2-3 sticks
- Fenugreek seeds – 1 tablespoon
- oats – 1 cup
- Ghee – 2 tablespoons
- Pepper powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Ragi flour – 2 cups
- dried coconut – 4 tablespoons
- Dates – 1 cup
- Cardamom powder – 1 tablespoon
- coconut powder
The process of making immune booster Rado is as follows:
Step 1: First, lightly roast almonds, cinnamon seeds and fenugreek seeds together. Add oats and roast. Let cool for a while. The ingredients are then transferred to a grinding jar to make a coarse flour.
Step 2: Heat the ghee in a pan. Add pepper powder, ragi flour and prepared oat mixture. Cook the preparation properly. Add dried coconut and mix well.
Step 3: Blend some dates into a crushed jar. Don’t forget to add a few drops of water when grinding.
Step 4: Properly cook the date paste. Add the soft flour prepared earlier. To add some jazz to the flavor, add cardamom powder and mix.
Step 5: Now create ladoos and you are ready to go. You can coat your Rado with coconut powder.

5) Sandesh Barfi
material
- Paneer – 400 grams
- cardamom powder
- Powdered milk – 5 tablespoons
- clarified butter – 1 tablespoon
- Jaggery – 1/2 cup
- Dried fruit
Here’s how to make a sandwich barfi
Step 1: Take a slab of paneer and cut it into pieces. Add them to the grinding jar to make a soft paste. Add cardamom powder followed by milk powder.
Step 2: Heat the ghee in a kadai and melt the jaggery. Reduce heat and add paneer paste. Cook the mixture over low heat.
Step 3: Butter the tray and set aside.
Step 4: Meanwhile, once the preparation is properly cooked, transfer to a tray. You can additionally decorate with dried fruits.
6) Sugar-free laddu
material
- almonds – 50 grams
- cashew nuts – 50 grams
- Walnuts – 50 grams
- Pistachios – 2 tablespoons
- melon seeds – 1 tbsp
- dried coconut – 1/2 cup
- Dates (without seeds): 250g
- raisins
- cardamom powder
Here’s how to make sugar-free laddus.
Step 1: Dry roast cashews and almonds together. Also add pistachios and walnuts during roasting.
Step 2: Arrange the dried fruits on a plate
Step 3: Place the melon seeds in a pan and roast until golden brown.
Step 4: Put the dried coconut into the pot and roast it well. Transfer to a plate when done.
Step 5: Grind dates into a jar and make a paste. Yes, you can use water.
STEP6: Put the date paste in a pan and simmer over low heat. You will notice a change in its color.
Step 7: Crush all the dried fruits together to make a coarse powder.
Step 8: Meanwhile, when the date mixture is ready, add crushed dried fruit. Then add coconut powder and raisins.
Sprinkle cardamom powder and mix well. Use that mixture to make rad.
