Ragi mud, ragi sangati, or kali, more commonly known as mud (meaning ‘lump’) or hittu (meaning ‘flour’). The Indian states of Karnataka, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema are nutritious diets. The people of rural Karnataka are where the most fans of this dish are. Lagi Kali is a common name in western Tamil Nadu. Ragi mud is made with ragi or finger millet flour, water, and a popular Indian dish. Mud lacks a distinctive flavor when consumed alone. Traditionally, sal (made of sprouted grams, meat, or vegetables served with vegetables) is served over ragi mud. This healthy finger millet dish can also be served with yogurt or buttermilk.
