More recently, diabetes treatments have begun to be prescribed as “off-label” for weight loss. It can be purchased without a prescription.
The remedy has become a slimming method in Hollywood, too, with stars paying $1,500 a month for the promise of losing a few pounds.
Ozempic (generic name semaglutide) mimics the hormone that controls appetite by producing a feeling of fullness.
