In the NFL, aggressive linemen are specially monitored and controlled for the weight of their play. The sloppy and cool lineman era there to take up space has been replaced by the noisy, energetic nature of modern crime.
No need to look for more than Denver Broncos’ 9th Pro Bowl Quarterback Russell Wilson. His high performance and fast-paced attacks have made him a future Hall of Fame and record holder. In partnership with first-year head coach Nathaniel Hackett, Denver’s new-looking attack is expected to be electrical, dynamic and fierce this season.
Broncos’ second-year guard Quinn Meiners agrees.
“This attack definitely assumes that you are going to run the ball, run it away, much faster, and let the defense play across the field,” Meiners said Thursday.
The 23-year-old Meiners was drafted from Wisconsin Whitewater in the third round of last year and entered the scene at a training camp in Denver. He competed to start camp personnel in both center and guard positions. But that was a completely different sin.
“Last year I was floating a few pounds under 330 pounds,” Meiners said when asked about recent weight loss next season.
“I felt this attack was based on speed. I wasn’t happy with some of what I was doing wrong in some of last year’s positions,” he said. I took it myself to lose weight, I say about 10 pounds. I’m trying to stay below about £ 320 or a few pounds. That’s where I’m feeling great now. “

The vulnerable division III college quickly became a favorite of Broncos Country throughout the season and was dubbed “Berry” because of his love for crop top jerseys in practice showing his extraordinary guts. As a rookie, Meiners played in 15 games, nine of which started under former O-line coach Mike Manchak.

Meiners was also recognized on the highlight reels, which are full of pancakes and blocking the downfield, especially against the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs.
In February, Hackett hired Butchbury as Munchak’s successor and arrived in Denver with 20 years of coaching experience, especially 13 years of O-line coaching.
Barry has been coaching the NFL for six years, most recently as an O-line assistant coach at the San Francisco 49ers last season, and previously worked for the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
When asked about Barry’s coaching style, Miners revealed that he was an intense character.
“Director Barry is an avid director,” Meiners said. Everyone is fierce. It’s what you like about being taught by someone like that. He’s really focused on getting us out of the ball … so far, it’s great to have Barry’s guidance and I’ll keep progressing with him all year long. I’m excited about it. “
Meiners did not commit to the position he was due to play in 2022, but the Roadgrading Blocker made it very clear that he was preparing for an important role as a starter. Underdogs and unknown stats may be behind Meiners, but obviously the battle remains.
