The Warrington woman lost more than five stones in an amazing change.
Angela Meade from Fernhead had tried a weight loss plan in the past, but after stopping it, she noticed that her weight had “returned”.
In 2019, Angela launched Slimming World’s food optimization program. It aims to re-educate people to properly balance the types of food they eat.

About 15 months later, she lost incredible 5 stones and 2 pounds, and at the age of 54 she was ready to launch her Slimming World Group.
Angela talked to Cheshire Live and said her previous diet plan had failed in the long run. That’s when she turned to Slimming World to drop the pound.
She said, “I’ve tried this on a diet plan in the past and I’ve lost weight, but when I quit, everything goes back and I needed something else.
“That’s why I went to Slimming World, and I was recommended by a successful friend. I decided I’d try it myself in 2019.”
Angela said her career, which involved many international trips before Covid’s pandemic, did not leave her with a “structure.”

She states: Because it’s a structure, it’s also given that structure and taught me to rethink how I eat. “
By December 2020, about 15 months after starting the weight loss journey, Angela had lost 5 stones and 2 pounds.
She said, “It was a period of about 15 months. So I did it nicely and steadily. I didn’t want a trendy diet.
During this period, she said, “I’ve been to a virtual group for quite some time, so it was a big challenge.” Angela said, “Social and face-to-face prosperity, but they are in a zoom group,” she continued to exercise.

“When Boris said I should have an hour, I started walking. That was the beginning of my movement,” she added. “Then I was running. At some point I was running about 55km a week.”
Angela now wants to help others travel. The 54-year-old has launched her Slimming World Group, with her first session scheduled for Wednesday, January 5th.
The group will meet at 5:30 pm and 7 pm at St. Bridget Church in Fearnhead, Warrington.
