Tofu is a soy-based product that is considered to be great for health and well-being. Curated from soy, water and coagulants, this healthy staple contains multiple nutrients and is perfect for those who follow a vegan diet. Ingredients needed
For Kofta:
- 200 grams crushed tofu
- 3 potatoes, boiled and peeled
- Cashew nut paste 1 tablespoon
- salt and red pepper powder to taste
- oil for frying
For gravy:
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 teaspoons ginger paste
- 2 teaspoons garlic paste
- 1/2 cup tomato puree
- pinch of turmeric powder
- salt and red pepper powder to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
Method
- Mix tofu and potatoes in a bowl.
- Next, drizzle the list of ingredients for the kofta and start making small balls.
- Fry these balls and set aside.
- Next, take a container and heat the oil in it. Sauté the onions, ginger and garlic with the tomato puree and turmeric.
- Add garam masala, salt and chili powder and stir occasionally until fragrant. Pour in the kofta balls and mix well.
- Serve hot with rice or parantha.
2. Tofu Burger
Ingredients needed
- 250 grams crushed tofu
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup chickpeas, cooked
- oil
- 2 cloves of garlic (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2 onions, cut into rings
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 1/4 cup tahini sauce
- salt and pepper to taste

Method
- Add the garlic and cumin to the frying pan and sauté. Add chopped vegetables and fry for a while.
- In the meantime, combine tofu, chickpeas, tahini sauce and bread crumbs in a bowl and mix with salt and pepper.
- Then mix the sautéed vegetables into this mixture.
- Make small patties from this mixture and fry them in a frying pan until crisp.
- Take the burger buns and add a layer of tahini sauce and onion rings along with the patty and serve.
3. Tofu mousse
Ingredients needed
- Firm tofu 250g
- cup of chocolate
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 2 tablespoons orange peel
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 4 crushed biscuits
Method
- Take a container and boil water in it. Then add a boiler to melt the chocolate. Add the cocoa powder to the melted chocolate and keep stirring to avoid lumps.
- Then take a blender and blend the tofu until creamy. Add vanilla extract and orange peel and blend for an additional 2 minutes.
- Then add the powdered sugar to the cocoa mixture and stir well. Now let’s mix it with tofu.
- Take a bowl or glass. Add crushed biscuits and chocolate paste and repeat the process. Serve chilled.
4. Masala Tofu Bhurji
Ingredients needed
- 200g tofu (scrambled)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 tomato (chopped)
- 1/2 inch ginger (grated)
- ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
- pinch of turmeric powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- red chili powder to your liking
- 1 teaspoon oil
- coriander leaves
Method
- Prepare a frying pan and heat the oil. Add cumin seeds and ginger paste and stir well. Stir in tomatoes and sauté until soft.
- Sprinkle with turmeric powder, salt, pepper and red chili powder and stir well until sweet and fragrant.
- Now add tofu and mix well.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and stuff the bread into roti or use as a filling in homemade wraps.
