Anne Hegerty, aka The Governess on ITV’s The Chase, has revealed that she has made a noticeable change over the years, dropping an impressive three stones. Viewers are in awe of her success after she admitted that in the past she struggled with her weight.
But how did she do it?
The fan favorite lost a significant amount of weight after entering the I’m A Celebrity jungle in 2018, which marked a turning point for her.
According to reports at the time, she lost a stone in just three weeks while in a camp in Australia.
This was built into the amount of movement and exercise she did each day and contributed to the change in the appearance of her body.

Ann also explained during an appearance on ITV’s This Morning that she believes the lack of salt in her diet is the cause of her weight loss while on a diet.
Now, she follows a very simple set of rules when it comes to losing weight, revealing that she drinks a lot of water to help her lose weight.
“You have to do it in small steps,” said Anne.
“You can lose weight just by living a healthy life and drinking lots of water.

“If you lose a stone or two, it won’t be obvious to anyone, but you’ll feel better.
“I lost weight, changed my glasses for contact lenses, and gained confidence.”
In the past, a TV quiz show revealed that her weight was a hindrance to maintaining relationships.
However, after shedding the weight, she finally felt confident about “dating again.”
And in 2019, a year after coming out of the jungle, she told Jeremy Vine:
“I had to go through a lot of tests before going into the jungle,” she said before revealing the results.
“They’re all saying, ‘Your blood sugar is lower than it should be, but it’s perfectly normal.
“We stared at your heart scan for an hour. No clogged arteries.”
