As the 2022 Arnold Classic approaches in Columbus, Ohio on March 4-5, 2022, competing elite bodybuilders are dialing preparations to reach their peak at the most appropriate moment. Along with this, some recovery efforts will be brought about, such as deep tissue massage, a stricter diet that does not allow cheat meals, and water depletion that helps to obtain shiny paper dry skin on stage. However, combining these with hard training can cause hiccups in the gym.
This was the case when he reigned over Arnold Classic Classic Physique Champion Terence Raffin. After warming up a heavy leg day with Joe Bennett, Raffin was uncomfortable with his right hamstring. It wasn’t enough to assume he had a legitimate injury, but it was enough for Raffin to seek the guidance of a “hypertrophic coach.” In Bennett’s view If you’re very close to the show, you’ll need to skip the lift that causes discomfort, as muscle tissue is unlikely to get out of a few weeks of lack of training... Raffin’s Legday began with a cocktail of vitamins and minerals that he took in one fell swoop in his kitchen. After defeating a swarm of medicines, he jumped into the car and went to the gym to meet Joe Bennett. Ruffin’s warm-up consisted of a one-legged buttock bridge, knee and hip external rotation while using yoga blocks, and pre-workout drinking. The opening exercise was a hamstring curl, and soon something was turned off for Raffin.
Everything feels strange.
Bennett’s first suggestion to counter the strangeness Raffin felt with the hamstrings was to “stand up slowly.” Bennett instructed Raffin to take 5 seconds to move the weights instead of exploding the movement at the start of each person. It still didn’t work for Raffin who fought the discomfort. Eventually, they decided to abandon the seated hamstring curls altogether. Bennett wasn’t too worried about calling audible to other movements.
If something feels bad at all, skip it altogether.
This workout was shot three weeks before the 2022 Arnold Classic, and Bennett commented that if the workout needed to be coordinated, Raffin was unlikely to “lose tissue” at that point. did. He advised that when receiving a deep tissue massage job, as Raffin did, the massage therapist should be careful not to be overly strong in the tissue, no matter how comfortable it may be. That pleasing feeling of liberation can also lead to muscles that do not ignite in the gym until they are fully recovered.
People need to be conservative within 3 weeks. You won’t lose your organization due to lack of training.
Bennett’s Raffin Hamstring Training Plan is to add one or two sets on arm day or wait until the next leg day to see how much stimulation can be applied without discomfort. That is. The softness of Raffin’s hamstring was in the midrange position — he felt fine in the fully contracted and fully extended position. Bennett leaned against it and moved Raffin to quadriceps training on a hacksquat machine, working in a long position. Ruffin seemed to be effective as he loaded what looked like five 45-pound weight plates on each sleeve of the machine and mashed the person in charge while wearing knee sleeves.

In the 2022 Arnold Classic
Raffin defends his title against a stacked roster that includes two-time Classic Physique Olympia Champion Breon Ansley. Ruffin looks very slim in recent training videos and has the potential to transform into an exceptional package that comes at showtime. Urs Kalecinski of Germany and Ramon Rocha Queiroz of Brazil will also be attending Ohio to take advantage of the momentum gained from the 4th and 5th finishes of the 2021 Olympia Contest.
