“The treat is definitely okay. It’s a good idea to check in with your body and check in at a hungry level. If you’re pretty hungry and your meal is still a few hours away, definitely eat a treat. Please, “says Asman.
Asman said it’s important to find snack foods that contain carbohydrates.
“For heart health, we want to find carbohydrates and fiber and combine those foods with protein or fat,” Asman said. “It will fill you, and we want to look for unsaturated fats, especially for heart health.”
