Tommy Bowe admits that he finds it difficult to find fitness time because of his work at Ireland AM.
Rugby has turned to a broadcaster with a great passion for exercise since he changed pitches early in the morning on breakfast television.
However, the two dads have revealed that the early start to awaken the country on Virgin Media TV was a real “eye-opener” for him.
Tommy told RSVP Live: Especially in the early morning, I wake up at 4 or 5 in the morning.
“It’s hard to get motivated to go to the gym after that.”

As the New Year begins, many are looking for motivation to start a new fitness regime following a luxurious Christmas.
Tommy’s advice is to set aside time for exercise every day as it helps maintain concentration.
The Irish AM presenter also recognizes the impact of exercise on his mental health when he is at home with his wife Lucy and his children Emma and Jamie.
He continues. “I think it’s important to keep it in your diary, even if it’s a 20-minute or 30-minute block.
“I feel like I have to stick to it once it’s in my diary. If you’re on an exercise bike, going to the gym, taking your dog for a walk, running, etc., you have to force it.
“It’s hard, but I think the benefits of doing it are great. After that, I feel very good. When I get home, I’m less sullen with my kids, and a lot of people are happening lately. All that and bad news. “
Sport is undoubtedly a big part of Tommy’s life and he wants to follow in his footsteps in that his children have an active lifestyle.
“Sports and fitness definitely want to encourage Emma and Jamie to join,” he says.
“For kids, the pandemic was very difficult in their indoor class and I think that was canceled.
“From my point of view, exercise is very important to my child. I have a lot of things to do to help my daughter get active and interact with her friends, as well as attending swimming and ballet classes.
“I also take her to the park so that I can meet my friends and get some fresh air.
“Jamie is still too young for now, but sports have been a big part of my life and I want to make something similar for my kids.”
Tommy has been popular with Virgin Media viewers since joining the Ireland AM team in 2020.
Many changes have taken place within the television station as many prominent presenters quit their roles last year.
However, Tommy is grateful that he was able to attend the long breakfast show without worrying about work safety.
“Listen, I’m from a rugby background. This is all very normal to me, with contracts and people coming and going,” he says.
“There was definitely confusion and things changed like Muylan. [O’Connell] Moving to Ireland AM will add a little freshness and a little change to the show. Maybe the boss felt we needed it.
“I feel like I’m just one of the players on the pitch of the rugby team. We have to overcome whatever happens behind the scenes.
“From my point of view, it’s really important to be grateful. I’m very happy to have the opportunity to work at AM in Ireland. [people leaving the station] It makes us realize that these things can change at any time. You have to do the best you can and see where you are going. “
