Les Mills Bodypump legend Mike McSweeney has died at the age of 64.
Les Mills has confirmed that iconic Les Mills Bodypump instructor Mike McSweeney has passed away.
A post on the global fitness chain’s Facebook Sunday night confirmed that McSweeney, who “has introduced, choreographed and educated trainers, presenters and instructors around the world for more than a decade”, has died. did.
McSweeney was the former Bodypump and RPM Program Director at Les Mills International. He presented and choreographed classes including Bodypump 6-58 and RPM 1-25.
No details have been released regarding the death of the fitness instructor.

The fitness instructor arrived in Oakland from Hong Kong on Saturday night and was in the ICU, according to a public Facebook post by McSweeney’s brother Dennis. On Sunday, Denise confirmed McSweeney’s death in another Facebook post.
Friend and former colleague Tracy Minnock posted a tribute to McSweeney on Facebook, writing, “He’s got ‘authenticity’ before it becomes a lesson. I’ve heard this from many Les Mills trainers around the world. It was his legacy that I pulled out.”

Minnock continued that McSweeney’s dedication to his family was “heartwarming”.

Peter Joseph Meir worked with McSweeney for “several years” in the early 1990s. thing The pair played golf, met each other’s families, traveled around the world, and attended masterclasses together.
