Fitness expert Denise Austin hasn’t slowed down since her mid-sixties.
The workout icon, 65, shared a stunning photo of herself in the kitchen on Tuesday in a yellow crop top that showed off her toned abs.
“It’s not uncommon to feel a little bloated this time of year when we’re enjoying fancy food, sweet treats and celebratory cocktails for the holiday season,” Austin captioned the post. Soothes that feeling and keeps a bloated stomach at bay. Some are as simple as eating slowly and avoiding sugar substitutes. ”
In a blog post, she said, “For reasons that are not clear, [sugar substitutes] May cause bloating. Avoid if possible. Because in addition to keeping your stomach flat, some studies have shown that eating low-calorie artificial sweeteners can actually make you gain weight. ”

She also cautioned people to drink plenty of water because chewing gum can cause bloating by “sucking in too much air” and “helps flush excess water out of the body.” . Sipping through a straw can also make her feel bloated if there’s too much air, she said.
Don’t drink too much, though, as fizzy drinks “get” into your stomach.

She also suggests monitoring your salt intake and, finally, reminds people watching their weight that they need to incorporate some exercise.
“Sometimes things move in your tummy just by moving your body,” she said.
For those looking to calm their stomachs after overeating, Austin recommends mint or ginger tea.
“Staying on a regular basis can be a challenge,” she added for women over the age of 50. According to the Daily Mail, on her blog.
“Turmeric, salmon, olive oil, and even dark chocolate can help promote heart health, reduce inflammation, and help maintain a healthy weight,” she says.
Additionally, she suggested eating more plant-based foods.

“To keep your heart healthy, at this point in your life, you may want to start eating plant-based proteins instead of animal proteins such as red meat.”Meatless Bean Chili. Think lentils in salads, or fajitas with tofu instead of steak.”
She told the Daily Mail that she eats “small amounts” and “cooks really healthy for my family. I have lots of salads, chicken tacos, veggie lasagna, and casseroles with less cheese.”
However, she only eats healthy foods 80% of the time and says, “The other 20% is my fault.”
The workout video expert added that she always makes time to exercise.
“I feel energized after a walk. Endorphins kick in and help relieve stress, anxiety and depressed feelings,” she told the Daily Mail.

Even people with busy schedules can find time to exercise, she said.
“If you can exercise for 10 minutes at a time three times a day, you’ve worked out 30 minutes a day.”
