Ultimate Performance has helped hundreds of people lose weight and gain confidence. Adele Bailey, 45, turned to fitness experts for motivation after her weight loss plateaued.
Prior to joining the UP, Adele was a size 12 and weighed 11.1 stones (71 kg). She explained that she “has struggled with her weight and her body image since early childhood.”
“After IVF, I finally got pregnant, and after several years of trying to overcome the bulges on my own, I felt it was time to get my body in top shape. I wanted to,” she added.
During the IVF process, Adele’s body changed so much that she suffered from ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, a response to excess hormones.
“For me, this was caused by the injectable hormonal drugs I was using to stimulate.

The ovaries are swollen and painful. The whole time I was on the injectable hormones, I had tenderness around my ovaries and a lot of movement in my abdomen,” she said.
Adele’s relationship between diet and exercise changed as she continued her fertility treatment.

“I saw the whole process of getting pregnant and having a healthy and successful pregnancy.

“During this time, I finally started to realize what food really is, a fuel source for my body. Between work and attending multiple hospital appointments and numerous surgeries, I grabbed food on the go and depended on it for comfort when I needed it. I often had to
“Unfortunately, the foods I grabbed while out and the choices I made to comfort me weren’t always the healthiest for my body.
“Looking back, I realize I should have been more prepared and organized regarding my dietary choices throughout this time, but what I was able to focus on at that point was how I was feeling in that moment regarding my fertility treatments. How was it going? As I focused on trying to conceive, nutrition and exercise took a back seat.”

Before embarking on her new fitness journey, Adele “considered that she was reasonably fit but needed improvement.”
“A recent broken leg and hip issues had kept me from exercising. My emotional outlook was strong, but I had physical issues with how I viewed myself. I’ve always had a hard time accepting my body image and the extra fat I had.
“My body type means I carry most of my weight on my lower body, which is hard to hide from other people. I think it was a daily struggle.”
But with a personal trainer and a new eating plan, Adele transformed her body in 18 weeks.
Now, she weighs 8.9 stones (57 kg) and is a size 6 to 10 depending on the store, and is “known to hang out in the kids’ section from time to time.”

2.2 Regarding the exercises she did to lose the stone, Adele revealed: .
“After a while, my activity level increased to help me lose weight. This came in the form of 30 minutes of exercise on the remaining four days of each week.”
She also shared what she ate. Dollar taught us the importance of protein in our diet and how to incorporate plant-based protein into our daily routine. She was on a high-protein, low-carb diet and strict calorie counting. ”
Adele hoped to achieve “overall fat reduction” and “followed Dollar’s instructions faithfully.”
“I stayed on track with my diet and made sure to attend every training session with her,” she explained. But I knew for sure that this was the priority of the day.”
Describing how she feels now, both physically and emotionally, Adele reveals: I still struggle to accept my imperfections when I look in the mirror, but I can also see how far I’ve come and where I’m going next. ”
Adele also gave the following advice to anyone considering a weight loss change. Don’t put off taking that first step.
“Of course, you won’t get everything you want in your first week, but knowing you’re on the right track will help you succeed and reach the goals you set for yourself.”
