Beetroot Idli Recipe: How to Make Beetroot Idli for Breakfast
You should start by mashing the beets with green chillies and ginger until you have a smooth paste. If the paste is too thick, you can add more water while grinding. Then add the beet paste, suzi, yogurt and salt in a bowl. Mix well to form a thick dough. I will leave it for a while.
Next you need to prepare tadka. Heat oil in a frying pan and add mustard seeds, uraddal, chopped onion and curry leaves. Pour the prepared tadka into the batter. Add fruit salt and mix well. Pour the batter into the idli mold and steam for 10 minutes. Beetroot idly is ready!
