As someone in the fitness industry, I applaud and appreciate the message this image conveys and the conversation around age, ability and potential.For me it wasn’t what it looked like this – because frankly I don’t think even Nicole Kidman looks exactly the same thatAs Cindy Crawford once famously quipped, “Even I don’t wake up like Cindy Crawford.”
Other comments about this image include “This is not an invitation to comment on her body”. It is a traditional bodybuilding pose intended to show and exaggerate size.

Other valid comments making the rounds concern the relationship between looks and health, such as “She looks so healthy!” A myriad of mental and physical problems can lurk just below the surface of a seemingly “healthy” body. Health doesn’t seem like her one thing in particular.

Frankly, now I’m drooling at the idea that strength training is back in the conversation.
And it’s not a “new skinny is strong” conversation. A type of strength training that prepares the body to perform everyday tasks. Strength training that allows you to remain independent as you age. A type of strength training associated with mental and social benefits.
