Finally Bappa arrived. Did you all know that modak is Lord Ganesha’s favorite sweet? While we may be busy preparing different types of modak, most of us are health conscious and Don’t worry if you are on a diet and are worried about eating sweets.
Check out these amazingly healthy modak recipes.
1) oats and jaggery modak
material:
1) 1/4 cup dried coconut
2) Jaggery powder 1 cup
3) 1 1/2 cups oats
4) 1/2 cup milk
5) almonds
6) cashew nuts
7) Raisins
8) Cardamom
9) 3 tbsp ghee
Method:
1) Crush the oats finely
2) Add ghee to the pan and heat well, then roast the oats over medium heat.
3) Add coconut and roast for another 2 minutes
4) Grind the nuts into a powder and add to the previous mixture
5) Roast for 1 minute and add raisins and cardamom
6) Add potato powder and roast for 2 minutes
7) Then put the mixture in a bowl and add 3 tablespoons of milk.
8) After 5 minutes, shape into modac and serve
2) Dried Fruit Modak :-
Material :-
1) nuts
2) Modac mold
3) Blender
4) Dates, raisins, apricots
Method :-
1) Dry roast the nuts until golden brown
2) Make sure the nuts are cool before grinding them in a blender
3) later add dates raisins and apricots and mix
4) Apply ghee to the mold, add the fruit mix, and use the mold to make a beautifully shaped dried fruit modac
3) Sugar-free Modac :-
Material :-
1) 2 tbsp ghee
2) nuts
3) 1 tbsp poppy seeds
4) 1/2 cup dates
5) 1/4 cup milk
6) 1/2 cup powdered milk
7) 1/4 cup coconut
8) Cardamom powder 1/4 tbsp
9) Rice flour
Method :-
1) Heat salt water and ghee in a kadai. When the water boils, reduce the heat and add 1 cup of rice flour.
2) Turn off the heat and let the rice flour dough rest for 3 minutes. Be sure to cover!
3) Transfer the flour to a plate and make the dough
4) Prepare modak, use nut and date mixture for stuffing and put in steamer
5) Steam the modac for 10 minutes until it becomes glossy.
6) Finally serve sugar-free modac
