Alia Bhatt’s South Indian Zucchini
Eating zucchini regularly can help you lose weight because it is rich in water and fiber, has a low calorie density, and makes you feel full for a long time. Here’s how Alia Bhatt created a South Indian-style zucchini subji.
1. Cut the zucchini into small cubes.
2. Heat 1/2 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan and add 1/4 tablespoon of black mustard seeds.
3. After stirring, add 2 teaspoons of curry tree, a few curry leaves and 1 finely chopped green chili.
3. Add diced zucchini and salt to this, if you like. 2 minutes with a lid.
4. Remove the lid and add coriander powder 1/2 tsp, zilla powder 1/4 tsp, fennel powder 1/4 tsp and dry mango powder 1/4 tsp. Mix well.
5. Add 2 teaspoons of grated coconut and 1/2 teaspoon of coriander leaves. Stir for a while and enjoy.
Ketoupuma
Ketoupuma is easy to make and is made from cauliflower rice. This recipe is delicious, low in carbs, low in calories, and gluten-free. The taste and texture are the same as the traditional Semorinaupuma.
1. Grate cauliflower florets to resemble semolina powder.
2. Heat 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
3. Add curry leaves, ginger, green pepper and curry tree. Fry for a few seconds.
4. Add onions and simmer until tender.
5. Add chopped broccoli, chopped green beans, mushrooms and peppers and cook for 2-3 minutes. Next, add grated cauliflower and salt and mix well.
6. Cover and simmer on medium to low heat for 4-5 minutes. Stir in between to extinguish the fire.
7. Add water and cook to a soft consistency.
8. When ready, decorate with coriander, lime juice and grated coconut and serve.
Rasam
Rasam is another great recipe for weight loss. It is rich in antioxidants and has a stomach-protecting effect. It also improves the flow of insulin in the body.
1. To make tamarind water, soak tamarind in ½ cup of warm water for 30 minutes. Then squeeze it into pulp, strain and set aside.
2. Take the grinder and grind 3 teaspoons of cumin seeds, 2 teaspoons of black pepper and 6 garlic cloves to a semi-fine consistency.
3. Take the pan and heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Add 1 teaspoon mustard seeds, 2 pinches of curry tree, 2 dried red peppers, and some curry leaves.
4. Add ½ cup of chopped tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes are tender.
5. Add the previously grounded masala and mix well.
6. Next, add the strained tamarind pulp, water and salt.
7. Boil on low heat, then turn off the heat. Decorate the chopped coriander leaves.
Ragiiduri
Finger millet is the best cereal for weight loss. Rich in dietary fiber and gluten-free. Idli is low in calories, and one idli contains only 39 calories. Also, it is very healthy because it is cooked by steaming.
1. Soak finger millet and rice in a bowl, and soak uraddal with meth seeds in another bowl. Soak for 5 hours.
2. Next, grind rice and finger millet to make a smooth and thick dough. Also, grind Uraddal into a dough with a small amount of water.
3. Mix both batters, add salt and mix well. Cover and ferment overnight.
4. When you are ready to cook, apply most of the sesame oil to the Idli steamer plate, pour the batter into the mold and fill it in half.
5. Fill the bottom with water to prepare the idli steamer and place the idli rack in the steamer. Steam on high heat for 10 minutes.
6. When finished, scoop the idli and add peanut coconut chutney.
