The online weight loss program was started by the NHS Grand Pian.
Healthy Helpings Online was developed by a local nutritionist.
This is a direct response to a pandemic when service is suspended and face-to-face group meetings are suspended.
This program allows patients to access advice on their own and proceed with the program at their own time and pace.
Fabiola Solano, a local nutritionist, said:
“Weight loss has many benefits, including improved overall health, reduced risk of developing diabetes, certain cancers, and heart disease, and very positive benefits for people’s mental health. It will be.
“People who lose weight generally feel better about themselves. They are more confident and have greater self-esteem.”
Fabiola added that he has heard anecdotal evidence that the team has gained weight because of working from home since the pandemic began.
She believes that online help will be an ideal tool for them.
Ellen Patterson, a fellow community dietitian, said:
“Our psychology partners have been involved in the development of this program in ways that help people see their behaviors and habits and identify positive changes that can be made to improve their lifestyles. I did.
