5. Coconut pack for curly hair- Heat often removes water from your hair and causes them to curl and remain dead. The fatty acids in coconut help reduce curly hair and restore luster. Remove the lump of malai from the soft green coconut. Warm a little until you put it in a pan to make it soft and muddy. After removing from the pan, allow to cool and add a few drops of rose water and mix. Gently massage from the root to the tip of the hair, including the scalp. Wrap the hair in a warm towel (soak the towel in very hot water to drain excess water before using the towel) and place the mask on the hair for about 20-30 minutes. Rinse with mild shampoo and conditioner. As you dry, you will find that the hair shaft is stronger, healthier and shiny.
In addition to the list, entrepreneur and founder of Raa Foundation and Anahata Organic, Radhika Iyer, shared two natural and highly effective hair mask recipes for stronger, softer and nutritious hair.
1. Deep Conditioning Mask- Put coconut milk in a container and bring to a double boil. When it boils, add aloe vera. Immediately add hibiscus leaves and flowers. Mix the ingredients well and bring to a boil. Sift the blended mixture. Apply to hair and hold it for 10-15 minutes. Rinse it off. For best results, use this mask twice a week. It moisturizes your hair, deeply conditions the hair follicles, helps hair growth and reduces heat / inflammation of the scalp.
2. Avoid split-end masks- Warm cold pressed almond oil. While heating, add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Remove the mixture from the heat and transfer to a bowl. Add honey and stir well.
