Air fryer has become a pandemic these days, for good reason. Foods cooked in an air fryer are often as tasty as fried foods, but with much less calories.
Face it — few foods work well in deep fryer. Persian appetizers such as Fesenjān are good for fried foods, but most of your favorite comfort foods such as chicken wings, french fries and chicken fingers are good for air fryer.
Chicken Milanese
This recipe is a great place to start if you are new to air fryer and need to create a simple and delicious recipe at home. It’s also fun to jazz up the boring chicken breast with the taste of Italian food.
1/4 cup flour (for dredging)
2 eggs
Bread crumbs 2 cups of bread crumbs
3 pounds of boneless chicken breast (about 6 medium or 4 large)
1 cup of grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper (and for chicken seasoning)
Prepare 2 tablespoons of olive oil for oiling the air fryer at 350ºF and the ingredients below. Mix flour, eggs and bread crumbs just before putting them in the air fryer basket. Save it.
Season both sides of the boneless chicken breast with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Roll the flour mixture and repeat 2 more times. Tap with a paper towel or a clean cloth to dry. Place each cutlet between two sheets of parchment paper and tap with a rolling pin until flat to ensure that the creases are evenly distributed on both sides.
Cut a 1-inch wide strip vertically in the center of each cutlet. Then carefully twist them into a half-moon shape. Repeat on the other side of each cutlet.
Don’t worry if you don’t stay in the perfect circle at this point! Save it while completing the batter. Mix all the remaining ingredients together with a whisk, except for the above parsley and lemon juice (except garlic powder).
After mixing all the ingredients, season with salt and pepper, pour over the putty and fold into triangles, leaving about 1/4 inch uncooked space between them.
Air fryer chicken wings
- Add salt and pepper to the chicken wings and sprinkle with olive oil.
- Mix the chicken with salt, pepper and oil. You can use tongs or hands for this, but be sure to wash your hands after handling raw meat.
- Place the chicken in a 400 ° F air fryer for about 15 minutes and cook until the outside is crispy and the inside is 165 ° F (use a meat thermometer, if any). Turn them in the middle of cooking to make both sides equally delicious and crispy!
- Once that’s all done, take out the sauce of your choice (or make something fresh if you’re ambitious) and coat those wings generously. If you want to take it to the next level of fantasy, don’t forget to add parsley or green onions!
- Pick up your menstrual pads, eat and enjoy, with ranch dressing or blue cheese as needed!
Crispy grilled buffalo chicken tenders
- Preheat the air fryer to 375ºF (191ºC).
- Add chicken tenderloin and oil in a large mixing bowl.
- Place the bread crumbs in a shallow bowl.
- Add chicken tenders to the crumbs and completely coat all sides.
- Place the chicken tenders on a uniform layer of air fryer baskets without touching each other. (Work in batches as needed.)
- Cook for about 8 minutes or until both sides are golden brown and crispy. Use tongs to flip each bid in the middle of cooking time. Cooking times may vary slightly depending on the brand’s air fryer. Therefore, make the best judgment about perfection and frequently check if you do not know how long it will take to cook based on the output of the unit or the heating element. Before removing from the heat source by cutting into areas that are not in contact with other foods during cooking, checking the temperature with a meat thermometer probe inserted in the central piece of meat, or visually inspecting the juice to be clear. Be sure to check the quality when puncturing with a fork (light pink juice indicates that cooking is likely to be inadequate). Make sure there is no pink inside! If cooking is inadequate, put it back in the air fryer, cook for another 1-2 minutes at 50% power, and check again until it’s done, but don’t overdo it. Do not overheat !!! This causes dryness and loss of toughness and flavor / juiciness! If necessary, add ranch dressing for dipping (or blue cheese) immediately.
Easy Air Fried Korean Fried Chicken
- Put soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic and gochujang in a large bowl and stir to make a marinade.
- Put the chicken in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (and overnight).
- When the chicken is ready to cook, place it in an air fryer basket and cook for 18-22 minutes (or until the internal temperature reaches 165 ° F).
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and add onions before serving.
Air fryer parmesan crust chicken breast
- Start by preheating the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Then mix the parmesan cheese, flour, bread crumbs and Italian seasoning in a plate or shallow bowl. In another shallow bowl, whisk until the eggs are mixed.
- First soak each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then dredging into the bread crumbs / palmezan cheese mixture and pressing to completely coat both sides with the bread crumbs mixture. Place the crushed chicken breast in an air fryer basket (or if you are using a large air fryer, you will need to cook one at a time).
- If you cook two or three at the same time, make sure they do not touch or overlap each other. This will result in uneven cooking results and a sticky bottom.
- Then polish the top of all chicken breasts thoroughly with olive oil or spray with olive oil to easily coat the oil. Place in a preheated air fryer for 9-10 minutes, turn it halfway and cook until it turns golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately on salad green or pasta!
Grilled sesame orange chicken
Preparation is the key. It’s a quick process, so make sure you have everything you need before you start cooking.
First, grab a small bowl and pour 1/3 cup of orange juice. Then take the whisk and set it aside. Then grab a medium bowl and mix the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt and pepper with a whisk or fork until everything is well mixed.
Take a paper towel and place it on the counter, then place the chicken breast on top and tap it to dry. This removes excess water from the chicken and makes it crispy when cooked in an air fryer.
Then use one hand to coat each piece of chicken with the flour mixture (the other hand should still be moist due to washing). Place the coated chicken in a large mixing bowl and oil all sides until it is completely covered. Swing until evenly coated with oil before transferring to a plate lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleaning later!
Garlic Parmesan Wings
- Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit (199 degrees Celsius).
- Dry the pat wings with a paper towel. Mix garlic powder, onion powder, peppercorn, red pepper flakes, 1/2 teaspoon salt and parmesan cheese in a large bowl. Place the wings on top and throw for a uniform coating.
- Place half of the wings in a single layer preheated air fryer basket. Cook in batches as needed to avoid crowding and overlapping chicken wings.
- At 390 ° F (199 ° C), cook for about 20 minutes until golden and crispy. Turn it over once in the middle of the cooking time to make it even more brown.
Juicy air fryer chicken breast and honey mustard sauce
How to make a juicy air fryer chicken breast
Preheat the air fryer to 400F for 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, mix honey, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise and olive oil with a whisk until smooth. Mix garlic powder, salt and pepper. Add chicken breast and coat well with the mixture. Keep it at room temperature while preparing the bread crumbs mixture.
Mix bread crumbs, parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning in a shallow dish or dish. Roll the chicken breast with a mixture of bread crumbs until all sides are coated. Spray the cooking oil spray on the air fryer basket. If you need crispy skin, place the chicken on the basket with the skin side up (I always do). Cook at 400F for 10 minutes, turn over and cook for another 7-10 minutes, or until the inside is no longer pink (cooking time depends on the thickness of the chicken breast). Transfer the cooked chicken to a safe or platter in the oven and bake for 3-5 minutes or, if necessary, until the top is golden.
