Trainer driving gym on wheel around Singapore
Admit it — most of us may be guilty of being lazy, sometimes using inconvenience as an excuse when it comes to Jim’s routines.
Now, instead of going to the gym, the gym can come to you. Hoping to motivate Singaporeans to stay healthy, personal trainer James Long decided to create the country’s first caravan gym concept.
The TikTok video shows how Long brings a gym-on-wheel experience to a place like a public park for his clients.
@aktivintel It’s an interesting concept that helps Singaporeans stay healthy. Check out @genuinjames and his van on IG! #fypsg #sg #fitnesssg #sgfitspo #fitness

TikTok video shows a gym on wheel with a weight bench
This novel concept was first shared on the fitness website Aktiv Intel’s TikTok account and introduced Long’s gym on wheel.
The video starts with a front view of a black van that the narrator introduces as Jim, but with wheels.
The camera then reveals the interior of the van, which appears to be equipped with different types of gym equipment.
If you look closely, you’ll find familiar gym items such as dumbbells and weight benches.
Clients can work out not only in the van itself, but also in the open area next to it. Great for enjoying the wonderful weather.
In the video, Mr. Long set up a gym facility in East Coast Park (ECP) at 6:30 am and saw the first client taking them out of the van before arriving at the session.
The narrator states that James drives vans “everywhere” in Singapore for his clients, so he can work out almost anywhere on the island.
Trainers are motivated to see their clients improve their health
Talk to MS NewsMr. Long shared that he initially drives his car to the customer’s home. But he could only fit a few gym equipment in his car.
Hoping to offer his clients more equipment options, he decided to get a van instead.
When asked about the challenges he faces while operating the gym on wheel, Mr. Long said managing this business could be a lonely process because he’s always there first. I made it clear that there is.
But what keeps him moving is the words of encouragement from the people who support him.
Long also said he was pleased to say that his main source of motivation came from witnessing a gradual improvement in both client health and fitness.
He wants to be able to inspire more people to make an effort to stay as active as possible.
Unfortunately for anyone interested in signing up as a client, Long, a full-time real estate agent, tells us that the slots are currently fully booked.
Stay healthy anytime, anywhere
Hearing how Mr. Long’s business inspiration comes from wanting to empower people to stay healthy certainly encourages us to strive to be more proactive. I did.
His story also shows that wherever you are, you can make time to exercise and burn calories.
Hopefully, Mr. Long’s determination to encourage others to stay healthy will motivate more people to push themselves a little and stay healthy.
